Our Story

Just as the transformative decade of the 1960’s was drawing to a close, Jim and Valerie along with their four small boys, opened Jim’s Floor Covering with the specific purpose of serving the flooring needs of property management companies, exclusively.

The Cochrane family, now in its third generation, and the large team of qualified professionals who have joined us continue to be grateful for that decision. Working with property management companies who in turn provide housing for the community is very important and rewarding work. But it involves far more than simply installing flooring.

Our clients are best served when they can count on prompt, reliable scheduling, extremely low prices, and the best performing, most beautiful floors designed for the unique needs of the multi-family market. Those are lessons we learned early on, and they remain the commitment of all of us who are proud to call Jim’s Floor Covering our home.
